If your car manufactured before 2000 it may not have an anti-theft system installed in it. If this is the case, than you SHOULD rekey your car in case your keys were stolen. By rekeying the car, you will lose the ability to make a replacement key by key code (Based on your car VIN).

Actually – their are! Most new cars has an immobilizer system that suppose to protect you from auto theft situations. A locksmith can erase all the keys from your car computer, than program only one key. The old key can be used to gain access to the car, but it will never start it again. This is a cheaper option that also leaves you the ability to make future keys based on your car VIN.

Barry did a great job cutting and programming a new key for my 2012 Honda Civic. No high overhead building or flashy ads, just great customer service and excellent work. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to everybody I know.

Barry is THE MAN! Incredibly fast turnaround time, took 1.5 hours from start to finish (and that’s from when I made the phone call). 25% cheaper than Lexus and at least 10-15% cheaper than other locksmiths I called. I will be referring The Lock Guyz to everyone I know. Thanks, fellas!

Fantastic service. Made two Toyota keys and saved me a ton of money over the dealer’s quote.

Both of the keys for my Honda Civic had completely fallen apart over the past 8 years, so I needed a new one cut. I bought the key online and called a few places to get quotes, and Barry was by far the most professional and courteous locksmith I have ever dealt with. He had me come to his personal home on the weekend, and cut the key for me in his van in about 20 minutes. He is the kind of guy you can trust not to rip you off or charge you for things you don’t need. If you’re ever locked out or need a new key cut, give Barry a call, he will absolutely take care of you.
